inv. no.: 360
The Billy Goat sculpture was made of patinated terracotta in Zagreb in 1975. The basic characteristics of this animal are very faithfully depicted, even if some elements are stressed and proportions changed, like the legs, elongated body or emphasized contour of the spine. The sculpture is modeled strongly, with powerful and expressive volumes, and divulges the author’s confidence and experience in his mature animalistic phase. In addition to the original sculpture, a replica made of acrylic is also on display, which is accessible to visitors for tactile exploration.
