Art work by blind artists
Sanja Fališevac

Sanja Fališevac is a deaf-blind sculptor born in Požega in 1965. In early childhood, she lost her sight and later her hearing. After specialized schooling, she graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb, focusing on ceramics and weaving techniques. However, following her inner sensibility, she soon chose to pursue sculpture and spent a year at the Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of academic sculptor Želimir Janeš, preparing for a degree in sculpture, which she unfortunately did not enroll in. In 1994, she spent some time in Poland, working under sculptor Ryszard Stryjecki. To date, she has held numerous solo and group exhibitions, and she also writes poetry.

Displayed under glass are the original sculptures Welt, Conversation, Creation, and Protégé, with replicas of the sculptures Conversation and Protégé available for touch.
