inv. no.: 374

The Pig sculpture was made of patinated terracotta in Zagreb in 1975. This is a faithful depiction of the animal, with good proportions and all the characteristic anatomical elements. The limbs are well-placed, and the bowed head and powerful back of the neck are continued along the tense line of the body. The sculpture is modeled by a solid hand leaving the impression that it was created effortlessly, almost in “one breath”. This is one of the best works from the author’s mature animalistic phase.
In addition to the original sculpture, a replica made of acrylic is also on display, which is accessible to visitors for tactile exploration.
